Our Holidays have come and gone with great times and lots of reflection......some good, some not so good. All in all we're glad to be together and life seems to be coming together a bit. I suppose we started out behind the preverbial "eight-ball" at first, things have settled down and we're looking forward to a happy and productive 2007. Here are some recent happenings in our life:

Logan has been dealing with an ear infection which has lasted almost two months. He was on medication for it during our visit to Wilmington, again a few weeks later, and another time in early December. Now he's on his fourth medication, and our concern is that tubes will soon be necessary. It doesn't phase him much, he's the same goofy, happy, energetic kid he always is. He's also recently had a recurrence of the blisters on his thumb, which were initally a result of exposure to cold sores at 5 months of age. It may be something he will periodically have to deal with throughout life, but our fingers are crossed in hopes it goes away.

The Bengals tried their best to ruin the Holidays for us this year. As it turns out THIS was the year Mike got a ton of Bengals stuff for Christmas. Almost as to rub it in his face, items such as floor mats for the truck, a steering wheel cover, a pillow case, a 4ft blow-up football, a towel, a hand-warmer, a scarf, a license plate cover, and a cell-phone case all decked out in orange and black had Mike's name on them.

Tina has done a ton of work on our basement, and it has turned into a very functional living space. We've got Grandma's old console TV hooked up to a VCR, Playstation 2, and the console stereo still works great. Gotta love that old tube sound and tone! There is also a play area for Logan down there, where the easel that Grandpa Tom and Grandma Carol got him for Christmas.

Logan loved all of the gifts he received, although I believe he enjoyed opening everyone else's presents just as much! The past two years he's had virtually no interest in unwrapping his items, and this year he wanted to open everyones!!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Marilyn Harmon, who passed away on 9/26/2006. It makes us happy that Logan got to spend some time getting to know her, however brief it may have been. Grandpa Leo seems to be doing well, Tina has spoken with him since then.

The Christmas exchange at the Hudson's was another rousing good time, the Bengals game notwithstanding. The themes were "Health & Wellness" and "Fun & Games". We find it funny how Dan can always find a way to find the Bengals in every theme. Good times were had by all, even those who chased Logan around the house all night.

Mike has experienced some health issues lately. A problem arised in November that found him in the hospial due to suspected heart concerns. All tests were negative, so that was a relief. He's also experienced some back problems resulting from a *pop* he felt while bending over to pick up Logan. Most of this is likely due to weight concerns, so he's going to start a program soon.

Tina has been considering going back to school to finish her degree. We're slightly optimistic this can happen, but it may not be as soon as we'd like.

Tina has not gotten much response to her request for pictures and information to include in Logan's "Family Album" scrapbook that she has begun to work on. She'd like info such as full names, birth dates, favorites (colors, foods, etc) and any other information you would like him to know about them. Michael let us know that he's recording a story for Logan, and we so appreciate that. It would be great to get as many of those as we can. Just pick a children's story, it doesn't have to be long, and record it for us.

We hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2007. We miss you!

Whoa does time fly sometimes.....

We've been away from the blog for quite some time now, and send out sincerest apologies to those of you who've been waiting for updates. Now that we've gotten that over with let's get caught up, shall we? Vacation in Wilmington was a great time! As you can see above Logan visited the beach for the first time at Wrightsville. He really seemed to like the water sloshing in between his feet as the tide came in and out. He handled the 12 hour drive fairly well, although there were moments. We had plenty of "Veggie Tales" and other children's music to keep him occupied along the way. We learned several things about life while visiting with the family.

We learned that a week away from our daily lives is a needed and wanted necessity.

We learned that planning a vacation is hard enough, but planning everyone else's time can waste precious brain cells and from now on we say nay-nay.

Tommy taught us what the internet is for...........:)

Tommy also taught us to use caution when watching movies that he claims are "different".

We learned that Tina wasn't the only one to put Mr. Bubble in a major Wilmington fountain.

We learned that loading Edie into a horse drawn carriage is a challenge. Good thing she enjoyed the ride!!

We learned that treadmills should never be used without adult supervision.

We learned that a styrofoam cooler in the back of a rental car should never be trusted.

We learned that Julia is both sentimental and sneaky. And good at both.

We learned that family really is everything.

Our voyage saw us travel a different route than in previous years. In doing most of the driving I can tell you that I-75 S to 40 E is much much much better than before. Not shorter by any stretch, but better for sure. We didn't get to spend as much time with everyone as we would have liked, but spending a little time was certainly better than nothing. Tina is still a little bit upset that we didn't get to spend some time with David. I'm sure there will be another day soon when we can visit and perhaps stay longer. We stayed in Maggie Valley, NC, the night that we left. The Ramada we stayed at was not the greatest hotel experience we've ever had. I think we were all so anxious to get home that it kept up from sleeping well. Some of you may know that Tina's car broke down 20 minutes after we arrived home. *SMACK*, welcome back to reality! 3 weeks and about $1,000 later the car is up and running. That's been fun. Logan had his second birthday last Sunday. He's officially a two year old, but I think that rule should be changed. When he starts acting like a two year old, he's two! We could go into great depth and detail about vacation and birthday parties, but I figure we could just show you. Here is a picture update for you. Love and hugs to all!

Sum-Sum-Summertime!!

A happy summer to all, family, friends, and colleagues!! As you can see, the Zitt family has dove into this glorious season head first. What's that? I figured the head joke was coming. Let me just start off by saying that coaching 10-11 year old little leaguers requires patience, knowledge, and above all the ability to motivate. Our guys hadn't won many games this year, and the coaches decided to offer the players a wager. Win tonight and we would shave our heads. Obviously they completed their half of the bargain, and we all followed through on our portion by baring our hat racks. I kind of like it, actually. It's very cool for the season and it's fashionable. Logan appears happy in this picture but he didn't stay that way. His main beef these days is getting his head wet, and he threw a royal fit when Daddy tried to douse him. He has officially hit the terrible twos!! We love our little man, but boy can he get cranky!! His favorite words and phrases are "NO", "I want to", "I want that", and "Mooooooooommmmmmmmyyyy"! He bubbles around the house like he's at Disney World one minute, then he's kneeling on the floor like he dropped his ice cream the next. His teeth cause much of his distress as he is currently cutting molars. We took another trip to the Zoo this week, and he got to feed and pet some goats. I used to laugh at parents who would take their small children out with them and put them on leashes. Only now do we know the incredible benefit of our leash. He wants to be just about everywhere just about anytime, and keeping him tethered helps. Now all we need are shoes with wheels and we're set. There were a number of animals that interested Mom & Dad and the more we tried to point them out to Logan, the more we worried that this might not be a new favorite place for him to visit this summer since we bought a family membership. We stopped to look at some monkeys, went into the cat house, saw some breed of antelope as well as visiting the reptile house, but still nothing seemed to really spark his attention
(I may have forgotten to mention he has been fighting a stomach virus for several days and his enthusiasm has been a bit dampened by his upset tummy and also the molars he's trying to cut). We were warned that this could be a traumatic event for Logan...having some strange person come at him with a pair of scissors and take his beautiful curls. There were others that warned us it might be traumatic for us (read "Mommy"). We took him to Great Clips, where we get ours cut and could not have had a better experience! He was a little apprehensive as Alex put the cape on and more so when she sprayed his hair down with the water bottle, but overall, he was quite calm. Other patrons must have been through this before as we were asked several times if this was a first haircut. Apparently it showed on Mike's or my face (or both... or maybe it was because we took a camera to a haircut).
The finished product couldn't have been better! Mommy was able to keep the curls in a special envelope they provided and we were given a "Baby's First Haircut certificate" for our scrapbook.

We had some special pictures taken with Mike's Grandparents which many of you have seen through the PhotoParade we sent out. Unfortunately, those who didn't receive it or were unable to open it will have to wait until the originals are ready for pick up from the photographer.

For Easter, we were invited to my Aunt Sally & Uncle Bob's place for the annual Easter egg hunt. Mike was skeptical that Logan would know what to do. I figured since he and the others at daycare had been having pretend egg hunts, he would have some idea, but was surprised when he picked up 14 eggs with only a 5 minute head start!

One more post to go and then we'll be caught up!

Aunt Janet's birthday....

Last time we posted, I mentioned that my Aunt Janet's birthday was coming. This is the best picture we've captured of it so far. Usually we're laughing too hard to be able to catch it with the camera.

After we left Aunt Sally & Uncle Bob's place, we went to visit Mike's Grandparents. Although they have toys for him, Logan loves the singing animals that have come from the gift shop at Aunt Elaine's workplace. His favorite is the Happy Birthday Bear that some of you have heard. To be honest, I can't remember what this pair sings.

A couple of weeks later there was a birthday party at daycare for his friend Matthew.

Since there are a few other major events, I think I'll put those in a separate post...

The new (and not so new) goings on....

So what's new here? This is a pretty cool place if you're a little guy - and not too bad for the grown ups either! We brought Logan's cousin Maria with us since we hadn't seen her for awhile. In addition, our friends John & Carol and daughter Bella (picture is of Carol & Bella on the slide and John with the camera) and Jim & Dianne and daughter Adelaide joined us.

Some of the kids in the group knew what to do as soon as we walked in (Say "Hi" to Luke - He's just 1 week older than Logan). Logan & Maria were a little less adventurous at first, but quickly got into it!

As you can see, we left with two tired kids that night!

So, what else is new? I got my MACSIS billing job back at GCB with a raise! No, we're not on our way to a million dollar home or anything, but every little bit helps! I was also approached by another local agency to make a change and join their company. It felt great to know that my skills were recognized outside of my own agency and to be recruited by another one. After weighing the pros and cons of both positions, it was decided that it made more sense to stay where I am. Mike has also been looking into a new postal position as well. We'll let you know when /if anything changes there.

We'd like to thank everyone who sent prayers and kind thoughts our way for Mike's family. His step-father, Tom Braun, recently lost his father Leo Braun to cancer.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Tina, Mike & Logan

BTW, Happy Almost Birthday to Tina's Aunt Janet

- we'll let her tell which one this is for those who don't already know!

Holiday Hangover!

Now that the holidays are over, we figured it was time to update the blog. Lots of things have been going on lately, but nothing out of the ordinary. The boy is walking more and more every day, but he still has a little trouble. He's lost a lot of his tummy....good thing I taught him those power crunches, huh? If only we could do them as well! I had lasik surgery in November, which worked quite well. I had pretty bad vision before, but my last check-up came in at 20-15 vision. Tina's been given a lot of responsibility at work recently, which is a good thing. She may be getting a raise soon, which is a better thing. I wish I could report a Bengals victory celebration last weekend, but fate seems to kick Cincinnati in the groin when it really counts. What a shame seeing Palmer go down like that after such an incredible season. The Steelers got away with one, but the Bengals will be back and better than ever next year. I have to say, though, the atmosphere at the game was borderline insane. Never have I heard such a loud and crazy crowd, surprising that there weren't many fights. Someday I may take Logan to a game with me, but not until he's old enough to know what all of those dirty words mean. Don't get me wrong I love going to the games on Sundays, but some of the language down there would make Andrew Dice Clay visit a confessional. We had a wonderful Christmas, although a lot more hectic that we would've liked. Logan got more clothes and toys than he may ever use. One of Tina's presents was a night out on the town to see the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera. She enjoyed the show, and it was nice to have a night to ourselves for once. As most of you know, anyway. We really need to start watching our language around the boy, 'cause he says a word that sounds a lot like spit only different. He says Momma a lot when he's stressed, Dada when he wants to play, and Bobby any other time. Don't ask us who Bobby is, we don't know. Crazy kid, it's true, but he is ours. Hope everyone had a safe and happy Holiday season!!

Halloween Hi-Jinx!!

A Happy Halloween to all. Yes, somewhat belated, we know. Our heads have finally stopped spinning after a whirlwind last couple of weeks. In case you're wondering, the above picture is the first official Zitt Family Pumpkin. Logan didn't go Trick or Treating, but he had lots of fun anyway. We had a Halloween Birthday party with some family & friends, and there was cake and ice cream and good times. Our son can be quite a demon child at times, so what better outfit to dress him in than a little devil. We realize that he didn't get that way on his own, and decided to join him as his parents from down under. Thank you to all who helped celebrate Logan's First Birthday with us, and a special thanks to the Smith Family for allowing us to have the party at their home. We love you guys so much, and Logan will always have something fond to look back on when he gets older. Speaking of looking back on, we had a terrific time in Asheville for Mike & Sherry's wedding. We're so glad Logan finally got to meet Tina's side of the family. The wedding was a great time, and we're so happy for the newlyweds. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness. By the way Mike, what's all this Al Franken stuff? I don't know what Tina's talking about.

A few tidbits from toofer town

You probably can't see them too well in this picture, but Logan now has two "toofers". They're coming in nicely, much to his chagrin at times. He's also motoring around this house like Mario Andretti at the Indy 500, which makes his parents oh so happy and oh so tired. Chasing him all over the place is not my idea of a relaxing night at home with the family. Logan had an accident at Day Care this past Monday during a playmates Birthday Party. He was reaching in between a shelf and a mirror, we're guessing, and pulled his hand out. The bottom of the mirror scraped some skin off the top of the 4th finger of his left hand. There was a little blood, but he seems to be doing fine. It sure freaked him out, though, and didn't make us too terribly happy either. We're just hoping it doesn't scar, it's a fairly large gash. It is healing well though, so that is good. Logan got to spend lots of time with his Grandma Helen recently. We had dinner a few times, Tina and Logan went to a small reunion of the Harmon family. Mom, Tina, and Charlie went Yard Sale-ing, as opposed to para-sailing, and picked up a nice gift for us and the boy. He's not spoiled or anything, but he now has his own horse. Plans are now coming together for our trip to Asheville next month. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there that weekend. Logan can't wait to meet his Uncle's Mike & Tom, as well as his Grandpa Tom. I just want to know if Mike's gonna sport the mohawk at the wedding? Any takers? Yes, Mike, I've seen the pictures and the movie. See you all soon!!

Salutations!

Now we don't mean to brag at all, but that's one cute little boy right there. It's the end of his first summer, and as you can see he just loves being in the water. Bathing in it, splashing in it, and soaking his parents...especially when they have no desire to be wet at all. That's our boy. For those of you who don't already know, he is becoming the terror we feared he might. He is now crawling, not full speed yet, but he is mobile. If it's within reach, he's grabbing it and putting it in his mouth. The TV remote, the dog's chew toy, the cat's tail. If this is what the terrible two's turn out to be, we'll probably have an easier time in a cage match with King Kong Bundy. Logan defines the term "Wiggle Worm", keeping him still is just not possible. We love him just the same. Trust me, we don't mean to make him sound like a monster. He really is a wonderful little boy.

He finally got to meet his Great Grandpa and Marilyn recently. It was fun catching up with them.

He does have a tooth poking through right now. It's in the front on the bottom, and you can see most of the top of it. He doesn't seem to be having too tough a time with the teething, but there are days when it can bother him.

We are beginning the process of looking at new and larger homes, finally. Getting this place in good enough shape to sell, that's another story. Hopefully it won't take too long so we can be in a place that better fits our lives by next summer. Any suggestions or advice?

It looks like Shawn has put up a "Schutte Shorts" pictures album test site, which you can view by clicking HERE. Our bestest friends, Jake & Wendy Warren, are expecting their first child on August 3rd. We were given the honor of throwing a couples shower for them, and good times were had by all. A new speed record was set by these two, they diapered a doll in 13 seconds while handcuffed to each other!! Some would say they've got experience with handcuffs, but we won't speculate here. We want to say congratulations again to our friends, and we can't wait for the big day to arrive. If you'd like to send along some parental advice, check them out at http://home.fuse.net/thewarrens.

As you can see, we took Logan to his first baseball game on June 18th. The Reds played the Baltimore Orioles and won 10-1, which also turned out to be the night Jose Rijo and Eric Davis were inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame. We've got some really cool pictures of that. Logan seemed to enjoy himself for the most part, clearly having no idea what to make of the whole situation. The people and the noise seemed to bother him at first, but he adjusted and had fun all the same. He spent more time flirting with the blonde sitting behind us than anything else.

Logan has really grown in the last few months. At just about 8 months old now, he's pushing 21 lbs. He's such a good kid though, always smiling and happy. Well, not always. When he's either hungry or really tired, he gets grumpy. Aside from that nothing really phases him. He's bonding with the cat, though the cat isn't terribly happy about that. It must be the yanking he does on her ears that causes her grief. He loves the dog too, even though we don't let the dog love him back just yet. Wylie just wants to lick all over him and play with him, but it's not gonna happen. Logan hasn't started crawling yet, but he can get pretty close to it. We're in no rush to start that. As you can see, we'd like him to stay this young and this cute as long as possible. Thanks for stopping by, vote on the poll if you get a chance!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://zittfamily.blogspot.com/2005/06/hello-to-all-babys-update-for-you.html' title='Hello to all! That is, as much as a 4 month old boy can have an old self. The doctor had him on a steroid for a week or so. I'm not sure why, but a guy named Barry Bonds kept calling the house. Hmm. At any rate, Logan has progressed into an extremely vocal young pup. All day long, it seems he has something to contribute to the conversation. He's still not sure what it is, but I'm willing to bet it's very important. Here are a couple of pics to keep you busy until Easter weekend.

I guess we spoke too soon.......

Logan had been doing well for his first 3 and 1/2 months. However, he's had a cough and a bit of a sniffle for a few weeks. Our Ped. told us it was perfectly normal, and not to worry. Well, it had gotten worse and we took him to the Ped's office. As it turns out, he's got an ear infection. In this area that's pretty normal for kids older than Logan, but not for kids his age. They also told us he's got some breathing problems, wheezing in his lungs. Perhaps if the goof at the doc's office would've brought him in earlier, this wouldn't have happened. We had to take him to Children's Hospital for a pre-emptive chest X-ray, mostly to rule out fluid in the lungs or pneumonia. The X-ray came back normal, thank God. He is still having some coughing issues and a little wheezing, which are now being treated by a nebulizer. It's a steam based treatment that he breathes in to help clear his lungs up. He has reacted well to this treatment, but it may take a while for the ailment to completely clear itself. Logan wants us to tell you he's going to be just fine.

Here is a link to our snapfish account, where you can view recently updated wedding photos and Logan pictures.

A family update....and then some!

Hey to everyone, we hope all is going well. Logan has been doing well lately, although he's had a bit of a temperature. We think his reflux is getting a little worse, so the doctor upped his daily dosage. Aside from that, he's a healthy and happy boy. He had his first laugh on Thursday the 17th. We've been waiting for a long time to hear that, and how cute it was! Here's a recent pic.
Not many of you know this, but I have two brothers. My Dad remarried when I was young, and they had two beautiful boys, Eric and Brian. Things didn't work out with he and his new wife, and they split up when the boys were very young. I didn't have a lot of time to get to know them, but we spent some time together. Not long after, their Mom remarried and her husband adopted the boys and I lost touch with them. Well, after almost 20 years, I've reconnected with Eric! Hopefully I'll be able to see Brian soon. It's been a long time coming, and such a relief to know that they still remember me.Here's a picture from the meeting that I wasn't sure would ever happen...(he's a Bengals fan! I know, excuses excuses. The truth is that the transitions from me going back to work, Tina having foot surgery, and then she going back to work have been tough. We deal, however, and want to post a couple of Logan pictures to keep all of you updated. Some of you already know that we've got a www.snapfish.com account. Anytime you'd like to see some of the Christmas photos, you can go there and do so. Christmas was a blast, and we think Logan enjoyed his first. Of course he slept through most of it. He got to spend time, however, with his family and friends. That made us very happy. New Year's was also enjoyed, but not too much! Hope all is well with everyone.

In Memory of Missy

Words cannot describe the loss our family has experienced over the last week. My beautiful sister Missy, at the young age of 25, tragically died in a car accident on Wednesday, November 24th. For those of you who knew my baby sister, you'll always remember her smile and her contagious laugh. She had a way of making you forget about your troubles. Her heart was filled with love for her family and friends, especially for her daughters Miranda and Maria. Our hearts will forever be abundant with love and memories of the girl I grew up with, laughed with, and cried with. He's a bit under 9lbs, caucasian male, considered armed with spit-up and extremely dangerous. Approach with caution. Wanted on charges of sleep theft and diaper destruction. Do not attempt to apprehend this suspect, as he has a less than cherubic disposition!!

Certainly we expected our young son to be a little cranky. If you truly know his parents, you understood the virtual certainty that he would be a bit on the moody side. HOWEVER, we didn't expect this! While he has calmed himself significantly in the last 24 hours, he has been an extremely fussy little melon-head. He still hasn't adapted to much of a sleeping schedule, which doesn't at all help our mood at all. He does OK at times, but for the most part he's up at least every other hour during the night.
His birth weight was 8lbs 4 oz, but it went down to 7lbs 10oz by the time we left the hospital. This, we're told, is perfectly normal. It stayed the same for the first week or so. This past Monday he got his second check-up, and weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 9oz! 11oz in one week! We're going to buy him some little shirts that show off his new bachelor belly. Health-wise, everything seems to be fine with him(knock on wood). We should have some more pics in the next few days.

Logan has arrived!

At 9:34AM on October 29th, Logan James Zitt was born at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. At 8lbs and 4oz, he was certainly a sight for eager eyes. The delivery was performed wonderfully by Dr. Denise Sutler, along with numerous other nurses and specialists. He's a little fussy, but it's been a big adjustment for him. He is taking to his new home very well. The cat is already very protective of our little man, but the dog is extremely jealous. Tina is healing up well, and back on her feet quicker than some expected. She still has some swelling in her legs and feet, but we're working on that.
We feel so lucky to have a healthy child in our arms every day, and thankful that the procedure went so flawlessly. There will be more pictures of Logan as we get them added to the site. Stay tuned!

Finally, it's sold!

In May of this year, I decided to put my condo up for sale. I knew that Tina and I were going to be together, and that this was a good time to look into selling the place. Well, after a turbulent summer and nerve wracking fall, we FINALLY have an accepted contract offer. The original offer was for our asking price, but they want 6% seller consideration. Which basically means they want us to pay for all closing costs and incidentals, up to 6% of the selling price. We had to adjust the final sale price, and the deal was signed by both parties. Most of you, I'm sure, understand what a burden off our backs this is. Closing is tentatively scheduled for November 25th, but that looks like Thanksgiving to me. Granted, we definetly will give thanks for the sale sometime soon, but that day will be spent giving thanks to God for the love we share and for our new family.

The Countdown Begins!

Our final baby check-up before Friday's surgery has been done, and everything looks fine. He is healthy and ready to go. Mommy is too. We spoke with the doctor about a few things, and he reassured us that everything will be just fine. He also said that visitation is up to our discretion, so we'll see how we're doing after the procedure is done. It takes about an hour to complete, and from there we go into the recovery room. We will start making phone calls when Tina feels up to it, so that everyone knows what time is good to come by, if you were planning on it. Keep your fingers crossed for us! We were there to have a procedure done called a Cephalic Version. It's a procedure used in the attempt to move a breech baby into a more natural birthing position. In this case, our baby is frank breech(head up and butt down). If you'd like more information about the procedure, click here.

The procedure, which was attempted for all of about five minutes, was not a success. The doctor tried as best he could to move the little guy from his spot, but Logan was in a position that made it too difficult. Though the doctor was poking and prodding her belly like she's never felt before, Tina was strong and tough throughout the procedure. She did a wonderful job. Just as she's done through the whole pregnancy.
So unless we can get our son to move within the next week or so, Logan will arrive via C-section next Friday, October 29th. The appointment is for 9AM, so he should be seen for the first time about 5-10 minutes later. However, we are both a bit apprehensive about the surgery, so any thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
So now you know when the big day will be. We will probably have to let everyone know when a good time to come up is, if you planned on doing so. We will see what the docs say about visitation and stuff, and post another blog after our next appointment, which is Monday morning. Logan says "See you soon, everybody!"

The Poll results are in!

I know we've done a terrible job of keeping the blog updated, but we've been incredibly busy lately. Doctor appointments, baby showers, and lots and lots of painting have had our complete attention. We wanted to share last month's poll question results with you.
Given Tina's large 7th month belly, how much do you think Logan will weigh at birth?
With a 26% vote, it looks like you think he will weigh 8.5 pounds! I can't tell you how happy Tina was when she saw that! Most of the voters said he would be over 7.5 pounds, and that appears to be right on. The last sonogram we had, Thursday the 8th, estimated that he is now 6lbs 6oz. Check out the newest poll!

Baby's room blues!

We're about halfway through the process of turning our old office into Logan's room, and it's turned out to be a bit frustrating. For starters, we had to rip out an entire wall of wood paneling. It just didn't make sense to us for one wall to be paneling, and nothing else. So it's out, and we've put drywall up in its place. The seams in the drywall are covered, and the wall looks OK considering it was a first time experience for the both of us. We began to primer the walls last night, because the nasty green patterns on the walls, not to mention the drywall, desperately needed to be covered. So that's where we're at. The room is going to be blue with white trim with faux molding along the ceiling corners. Any advice or suggestions before we get too far and mess it up? As bad as it looked, it would be hard to mess that room up. But ya never know........

Let's set the record straight........sort of.

Did this look rehearsed to you?

Actually, the best man and I had done this previously.
